'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Comedic Elements Will Be Featured, Including Some Fourth Wall Breaks

Additional Story Mode details also revealed

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will attempt to win over fans of this long-running series by allowing them to take part in some action-packed encounters involving some familiar faces.

On top of that, it also sounds like the developers will be using humor to capture the attention of fans.

Speaking recently to Game Informer, actor Christopher R. Sabat, who has lent his voice to Piccolo, Vegeta and Yamcha throughout the years, talked more about what the developers were doing to lighten things up in the game.

According to Sabat, there will be fourth wall breaks featured in the game. To be more specific, players can expect that there will be instances during which the characters being controlled will acknowledge that they are getting some assists from unseen forces.

Interestingly enough, those fourth wall breaks may be more than just comedic elements added just to get a few chuckles out of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" players. Sabat hinted that those instances during which the characters onscreen acknowledge an outside force may actually be related in some way to the story included in the game.

Sabat also noted that the upcoming game's story has been framed in a "clever" way.

Unfortunately, Sabat did not go any deeper into what the story of the new fighting game will be about, but the hints he did drop were certainly quite notable.

If that was not enough for fans, developers previously released a brief teaser trailer of the game's story.

The trailer showed numerous characters looking lifeless, and it also seemingly indicated that the new character known as Android 21 was going to have an important role in the story.
