'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Frieza Will Have a Big Role in the Story
One of the Story Mode scenarios will link players to Frieza
Frieza has a special place in the hearts of many "Dragon Ball" fans, thanks to him being one of the most memorable antagonists ever featured in the series, and clearly, the developers of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" are fans of this nefarious being as well.
Details about the Story Mode that will be featured in the upcoming game were recently included in an issue of V-Jump, and the folks over at Shonengamez.com translated those revelations.
The game's Story Mode will be divided into different scenarios. Players will be "linked" to Goku in one of them, which is also expected to be the main scenario. Another one will feature players stepping into the shoes of Android 18.
One more scenario will "link" players to Frieza.
Frieza seems like an interesting choice to be a star in one of the Story Mode scenarios simply because he is not actually one of the good guys in the "Dragon Ball" universe.
Fans of course know all about Goku and his heroic exploits, while Android 18 has mellowed out after settling down with Krillin.
Going with Frieza should enable the developers to tell the story of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" from a unique perspective, one specifically coming from an individual who fans know only as a devious and destructive individual.
Thus far, developers have revealed that Frieza's Story Mode scenario will feature him bearing witness to unbelievable events. Arguably more interesting is that fans will apparently be able to learn more of how Frieza goes about his daily life and may even dive a little bit into his past while going through his Story Mode scenario.
Even outside of Story Mode, Frieza is expected to be a character worth paying attention to in the game, thanks to his arsenal of long range attacks.
New details about Frieza and the other characters included in "Dragon Ball FighterZ" should be revealed soon, and the game itself is due out on Jan. 26.
