'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Ginyu's Unique Moveset Detailed Further

Ginyu's Body Change technique also explained

Ginyu is one of the more eccentric characters in the "Dragon Ball" universe, and it looks like the developers of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" are looking to capture his uniqueness in the upcoming fighting game.

Recently, additional details about Ginyu the video game character were provided by producer Tomoko Hiroki.

Speaking recently to IGN's Next Big Game, Hiroki hinted at just how Ginyu will differ significantly from the other members of the roster.

Arguably the most unique aspect of Ginyu is that he himself does not actually possess many moves. In lieu of making him capable of executing all kinds of moves, the developers have instead decided to integrate the members of the Ginyu Force into his arsenal.

Over the course of a battle, Ginyu can call upon his allies – Burter, Guldo, Jeice and Recoome – to attack whoever it is that may be opposing him. Upon being summoned, the other members of the Ginyu Force will use their ki blasts.

As fans may remember, the individual members of the Ginyu Force have their own unique talents, though it is still unclear if these will be featured in full inside "Dragon Ball FighterZ."

Hiroki also explained how Ginyu's Body Change move will work inside the game.

This is a move players can use to turn the tables on their opponents, as health bars are switched. Movesets are changed as well, and this feature of the technique can come in really handy if the player controlling Ginyu is familiar with whoever the opposing character is.

For those who want to know more about Ginyu, the folks over at Shonengamez.com translated his character profile that can be seen on the game's official Japanese website. It turns out that he is one of the stronger characters and his technique stat is really good as well. Speedier opponents may give Ginyu problems, however.

Fans will be able to try out Ginyu and the other characters included in "Dragon Ball FighterZ" for themselves as soon as the game is released on Jan. 26.
