'Dragon Ball FighterZ' News: Piccolo Can Be a Rangy Nuisance Inside the Upcoming Fighting Game

Piccolo's extendable arm and unique techniques distinguish him from the other members of the roster

The native of Planet Namek named Piccolo may not be the first character that comes to mind when fans think about the "Dragon Ball" series, but he has been an important part of it for a long time now. Piccolo figures to be an integral member of the series moving forward. And when the new fighting game known as "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is released, he will be one of the characters that players can choose.

When compared to Saiyans like Goku, Vegeta and even Trunks, Piccolo's power may seem unremarkable. But though he may not be able to match those aforementioned warriors in terms of might, he is still more than capable of holding his own while on the battlefield.

Developers previously shared more about some of Piccolo's unique characteristics and revealed that he is one of the "most technical" fighters included in the roster. He also has different attacks he can use to shatter an opponent's guard, and once that is done, he can launch quickfire attacks.

One other unique feature of Piccolo is his extendable arm that he can use to grab enemies and also inflict damage upon them.

In all likelihood, that extendable arm of his contributes to Piccolo being one of the better ranged characters inside "Dragon Ball FighterZ."

The folks over at Shonengamez.com provided translations for the character stats that were posted on the game's official Japanese website. According to those translations, Piccolo has S-level Reach inside the game, which is quite exceptional. His Technique stat is also elite, though he is not among the fastest available.

Recently, developers also released a brief video showing off some of Piccolo's moves and that can be seen below.
