'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Update: New Gameplay Footage, Screenshots Showcase Dramatic Finish and Openers, 'Dragon Ball Super' Additions

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" gameplay was recently shared at the Jump Festa 2018, giving fans a taste of the dramatic finish feature as well as the latest roster additions in action.

As revealed a couple of days ago, the Arc System Works game will feature key moments from "Dragon Ball Super" and "Dragon Ball Z."

It turns out that they will be used for the dramatic finish in "Dragon Ball FighterZ," which is basically some sort of a cutscene that are triggered by certain conditions fulfilled at the end of battles. There are also dramatic openers, the ones that kick off the fight.

An example of the latter is Goku and Frieza's unforgettable fight in Namek, where the intergalactic tyrant kills Krillin in cold blood, urging Goku to go Super Saiyan for the first time. At this point, the match will begin.

The dramatic finish in this particular "Dragon Ball FighterZ" showdown sees Frieza's last-ditch blast at Goku, who responds with an Angry Kamehameha to finish him off.

This is triggered when Goku and Frieza are left the remaining characters in the battle and the former successfully drains Frieza's health to bring the victory home.

The "Dragon Ball FighterZ" footage also shows "Dragon Ball Super" characters Goku Black, Hit and Beerus, whose inclusion was announced a few days ago.

In the gameplay video, Goku Black and Hit team up with Frieza while Beerus is assisted by Goku and Gotenks. Screenshots of the characters were also released.

Beerus can be seen using the Sphere of Destruction, which allows him to obliterate anything without effort. Goku Black, shown in his Super Saiyan Rose form, will have Zamasu as his support.

Hit gets to use his infamous Time-Skip technique in "Dragon Ball FighterZ," which will allow him to skip time for one-tenth of a second, which, when used right, can catch an opponent off guard and could turn the tables of the match.

"Dragon Ball FighterZ" will be released on Jan. 26 in North America and Europe and on Feb. 1 in Japan.
