'Dragon Ball Fusions' News and Updates: New Nintendo 3DS Game to Bring New Fusion Possibilities; Gameplay and Release Date Revealed
It is amazing how, in 2016, people are still rendered in awe for video games and franchises as nostalgic as the "Dragon Ball" series. This time around, it is the "Dragon Ball Fusions" video game that earns its spot in the limelight.
The "Dragon Ball" Hype
Everyone who has access to a television set back in the '90s would most certainly be familiar with the hit anime show "Dragon Ball Z". It has gained quite a huge following, enough to urge Bandai Namco to develop a follow up video game, even as recent as today. Bandai Namco has been in charge for top notch titles such as the "Tekken" series, along with several "Naruto" and "Digimon" games, so quality would not be an issue here.
With "Dragon Ball Super" being the latest anime installment to the ever-growing and beloved franchise, fans of old and new are still kept ahold of what's next. Good news awaits these fans, as Bandai Namco had already announced that the action role playing video game "Dragon Ball Fusions" is in the works.
The upcoming "Dragon Ball Fusions" will be arriving to the Nintendo 3DS for some handheld gaming goodness. This game has been announced and is in development for quite a few months now, so the official release is anticipated to be coming very soon.
Gameplay and Fusions
The gameplay of "Dragon Ball Fusions" is quite simple. True to its title, the game will see players create their own characters. These characters would then be able to travel the Dragon world while required to collect items and build alliances with other fighters. The gameplay of "Dragon Ball Fusions" then uses a battle system that incorporates strategy and real time action elements.
The fighters in "Dragon Ball Fusions" can be fused together, as suggested by the title. Bandai Namco is said to be working on a way to make these fusions possible as the canon way of doing it is through the Fusion Dance and can only happen between characters of similar size and broad ability. However, "Dragon Ball Fusions" will introduce a special arm bracelet that will allow an EX Fusion.
This type of fusion will allow any character in "Dragon Ball Fusions" to combine. Piccolo and Krillin will result in Prilin. Kid Gohan and Krillin will produce Krigohan, while Kid Goku and Krillin will result to Gorilin. These new combinations currently involve Krillin, and "Dragon Ball Fusions" is said to incorporate more.
Release Details
"Dragon Ball Fusions" will be arriving to the Nintendo 3DS in the US come December 13. Those in the European region can expect "Dragon Ball Fusions" to be launched in February 2017.
