'Dragon Ball Super' Episode 81, 82 Spoilers: Goku Faces Judgment in Exhibition Match

When it comes to recklessness, Goku has no precedence. It doesn't help that he's also one fearless Saiyan who never backs down from a fight, but these very qualities may well be his funeral in the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super."

Bergamo of Universe 9 may have lost the battle, but he's certainly won a piece of the war to a degree when he succeeded in painting Goku as the main villain in this whole ordeal. If it weren't for Goku's request for a tournament showcasing the very best of every universe, no universe would ever have to fear getting wiped off from existence with just one flick of Zen-Oh's hand.

And now that Bergamo has been defeated and the punishment of erasure for the losing universes still stands, Toppo, a warrior with a strong sense of justice from Universe 11 has stepped into the fighting stage challenging Goku, whom he sees as evil, to a match.

Will Goku's recklessness finally catch up to him at the hands of Toppo? The official trailer for the episode shows that it is definitely not going to be an easy fight, with both fighters evenly matched to take each other down. And whatever advantage Toppo may have over Goku, the Saiyan's resilient fighting spirit has always managed to pull through for him no matter what.

But the synopsis for the episode hints at something unexpected happening even before the two of them can finish their match.

Titled "Never Forgive Son Goku! Toppo the Warrior of Justice Intrudes!!" the episode will show the two fighters engage in close combat, with neither one of them showing any sign of giving up. But before the match can really heat up, the Great Priest will step in and stop the fight. Could the Great Priest have sensed a fatal conclusion to the match, therefore forcing him to stop it? After all, killing an opponent is strictly prohibited in the actual Tournament of Power.

And even if Goku survives this exhibition match, he still has the wrath of every other participating universe to face when the real tournament officially begins. How will Universe 7 fare through the Battle Royale style of combat that's happening in the upcoming tournament? Will the other universes gang up against him and his fellow Universe 7 champions, just like Bergamo threatened they would?

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 82 airs on Sunday, March 19 at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
