'Dragon Ball Super' Episodes 82 and 83: Goku to Pull Off a Miracle for Vegeta's Participation in Tournament of Power?

Goku is in danger of going to the Tournament of Power with only nine strong fighters if he fails to convince the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta, to join the team in the next episode of "Dragon Ball Super."

Nothing focuses a man's perspectives better than having a child. And with his wife, Bulma, about to give birth to their second one, Vegeta is understandably pretty adamant about staying on Earth and passing up on Goku's invitation in some other realm that takes him away from his family. But Goku, not wanting to leave his best and most trusted wingman behind, will devise a plan to eventually get Vegeta to say yes.

In episode 83 titled "Form the Universe 7 Representing Team! Who are the Strongest Ten?!" the recruitment begins for the 10 champions who will represent Universe 7 in the upcoming Tournament of Power. The Grand Priest has given all participating universes time to scout their 10 best fighters and come to the arena in 40 hours. And with Goku hard-pressed on completing his team with Vegeta and no one else, it seems that the stubborn Saiyan will need nothing short of a miracle to help him in his cause.

And sure enough, the official trailer for the episode hints at Whis possibly intervening for the sake of Earth's survival. Beerus is already on pins and needles about Universe 7's chances of winning, what with every other universe planning on ganging up on Goku for even suggesting such a tournament. The God of Destruction and his angel, Whis, are undoubtedly aware of the need for Earth to bring in their strongest Dream Team yet. And no Dream Team will ever be complete without Vegeta in it.

But how can Goku and the celestial beings possibly convince Vegeta to leave his wife's side, especially now that her due date seems to be approaching? Will Whis be waving his magic staff to make Vegeta and Bulma's daughter come earlier than the expected date? And will the sight of Bulla finally inspire Vegeta to fight in the Tournament of Power, if only to make sure that Universe 7 will not be wiped out of existence for his little girl's sake?

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 83 airs in Japan on Sundays at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV and on Crunchyroll on Saturdays at 8:15 p.m. EDT as part of a recent simulcast agreement that the site has reportedly scored.
