'Dragon Ball Super' Spoilers: Goku Battles Slimmer Majin Buu; Gods of Destruction Plot Against Universe 7

Things will get more climactic in the upcoming episode of "Dragon Ball Super." In episode 85, the anime series will get one step closer to the most thrilling part of the Universe Survival Arc, where Goku will join the multiverse martial arts event that will serve as a make-or-break moment for Universe 7.

Spoilers for the episode suggest that as Goku prepares for the tournament, he will form a team of warriors who will join him in going head-to-head with the strongest fighters from the other universes. In episode 85, Goku will take Piccolo and a stronger Majin Buu on board.

The promo video for the upcoming episode shows Goku facing a brand-new Majin Buu, who apparently has lost some weight after taking his training seriously. The clip also shows Gohan approaching Piccolo and trying his best convince his former mentor to join the team. Towards the end of the clip, the other gods of the multiverse are shown gathering together to plot against Goku.

"Before the tournament begins, the 'gods' sound each other out?! The Kaioshins of each universe gather before the Tournament of Power! Although some suggest requesting the Omni-King to reconsider, opinions differ and they are unable to form a plan... Meanwhile, all the Gods of Destruction besides Beerus gather too, and hatch a scheme targeting Goku's home, Universe 7?!" reads the synopsis for the episode.

The synopsis also reveals that before Goku convinces Majin Buu to join him, Majin Buu will challenge Goku to spar with him so he can test out his fighting skills.

Episode 84 followed Goku as he started looking for 10 warriors to complete his team. While he had a hard time convincing them, he was ultimately able to persuade Krillin and Android 18 to join him.

"Dragon Ball Super" airs every Saturday at 8:15 p.m. EDT on Crunchyroll.
