'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' DLC News: Surprise Content to Add 2 'Dragon Ball Z' Characters, New Mentor
Bandai Namco Entertainment is not done with "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" just yet.
A scan of the latest issue of V-Jump Magazine picked up by Saiyan Island reveals that two more characters will be added to the fighting game's roster via a brand-new downloadable content (DLC) pack.
"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will add the king of the Demon Realm Dabura and Buuhan, the Gohan-absorbed form of Super Buu, who are both from the Majin Buu saga in the much-loved "Dragon Ball Z" anime.
In addition, Zamasu from the hit Future Trunks saga in "Dragon Ball Super" will also be available as a mentor or master, which means players can seek the help of the immortal villain in learning new skills and abilities. The character was already added in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" via the third DLC Pack released for the fighting game.
It was back in June when word about new DLC for the game came out. It was around that time that references to Dabura and Buuhan were found in the game files.
Interestingly, dataminers also stumbled upon codes pertaining to the possible inclusion of Demigra, Super Saiyan Rage Trunks and Half-Corrupted Fused Zamasu. This has many under the impression that there will be another "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" DLC on the way that will add the trio to the roster.
A release date for the Dabura and Buuhan DLC was not indicated in the magazine scan, but there was only mention of the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, the only platforms in Japan in which the game is available in.
While this suggests the new content will only come to these two consoles, it is expected that the folks in the PC and Xbox One community will not be left out by Bandai Namco in the release of this surprise "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" DLC.
