Drake 'Take Care' Album Leak: Predicted to Hit
Canadian rapper Drake has completed his second album, ‘Take Care’, which has surfaced online ahead of its official release.
The platinum hip-hip artist scheduled the premiere of “Take Care” for Nov. 15 but fans have heard an early listen to the 17 new tracks.
Recently many stars have been forced to compete with music piracy online, including Drake’s mentor, Lil Wayne. The pirated version of the 25-year-old’s new album has already received positive feedback – and fans especially like one track. Drake’s title track features his former love interest, R&B star Rihanna.
In past interviews Drake has admitted that the singer broke his heart in 2009, and their collaboration may give the love song a deeper meaning. On “Take Care” Rihanna sings “Know you’ve been hurt by someone else / I can tell by the way you carry yourself / If you let me, here’s what I’ll do / I’ll take care of you / I’ve loved and I’ve lost,” as Drake shifts through slower and then faster rap verses.
The track can be heard on the website neonlimelight.com.
Drake’s “Take Care” sees two bonus tracks along with the 17 songs, and will feature Lil Wayne, Rihanna, Andre 3000, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, and rising Toronto singer The Weeknd.
Along with the title track, new songs include “Crew Love,” “Lord Knows,” and “It’s My Party.”
Ahead of the album’s release, Drake posted on Twitter: “I am not sure if the album leaked. But if it did thank God it doesn’t happen a month early anymore.”
The rap artist added, “Listen, enjoy it, buy it if you like it… and take care until next time.”
Abel Tesfaye, also known as The Weeknd, posted his gratitude to Drake on Twitter, writing “Take Care… Thank you @Drake for letting me be a part of this amazing project… Nov. 15.”
