Drake on Rihanna '666' Comments: Rapper Rebukes Rumors - She's 'A Great Girl'

After Drake's performance on Monday night at the OVO Fest in Toronto seemed to imply that his ex-girlfriend Rihanna was the worst kind of evil, the rapper took to Twitter to clear things up.

"My album title is VIEWS FROM THE 6. The 6 is Toronto. Rih is a great girl who I know is about to kill this tour with Eminem. It's all love!!" Drake wrote.

Speculations that the rapper might be harboring some ill feelings toward his ex-girlfriend spread like wildfire when Drake performed "Days in the East" against a backdrop of Rihanna's face juxtaposed with a 666.

However, according to E!Online, it seems like Drake is trying to introduce some "new non-YOLO lingo in relation to his home turf." According to Complex, the 6 is short for Toronto's 416 and 647 area codes.

The rapper did not elaborate on why Rihanna's image was used in the first place. It could be because "Days in the East" is rumored to be inspired by her and samples the line "I threw my hands in the air and show me somethin'" from Rihanna's love ballad "Stay."

BET reports that Drake is known to name-drop his exes on record, so there is potential for more Rihanna-inspired music on Views from the 6. The record is slated to come out sometime next year.

Rihanna has not commented on the issue as the Barbadian beauty is busy rehearsing for her Monster tour. She will be performing alongside Eminem. The tour will kick off on Thursday in Pasadena.
