Drew Barrymore in Photoshop Mess on Magazine Cover
It seems as though technology cannot always be used to fix mistakes and sometimes it is actually the reason that some mistakes are made in the first place.
The individual charged with the responsibility to get rid of any minute imperfections found in pictures that are to be placed on the cover of nationally circulated magazines should heed the advice that less is more.
Drew Barrymore’s picture unfortunately was the guinea pig for someone to practice their Photoshop techniques.
The seasoned Hollywood star recently got engaged to Will Kopelman and now she is on the cover of February's issue of InStyle.
The actress looks fabulous in her white dress and flowing hair, yet there seems to be number of inconsistencies with the Photoshop picture.
There is some talk in certain internet circles about the cover. The Huffington Post calls it a "Photoshop mess," and questions what happened to Barrymore’s hips and why is she sporting a grin styled after the Batman character the Joker.
Specifically, the Huffington Post points out that her hips do not seem to be as curvy or even seem to be there at all. The mishap is more noticeable on the left side. And there is further inconsistency with some of her physical characteristics.
But even with the bad picture Barrymore is in good spirits. "I'm pushing 40," says Barrymore, 37. "I feel like those things that I always aspired to are finally being realized. I used to be afraid to let go of the intensity. I thought the work would suffer. But the lesson is, no, it's still good, and I'm a lot happier and less of a nervous kid."
She also mentions Kopelman, saying, "He's lovely. He's very, very nice. It's really positive. I'm super-happy... We go on group trips and spend holidays together -- there's a lot of love! And that is really nice and very different from the way I grew up, which was more unstable and inconsistent, with a lot of highs and lows."
