Droid 4 Leak Shows Device’s Similarities to Droid Razr
The upcoming Droid 4 smartphone’s specifications leaked this week and it seems that Motorola is designing the device similar to the Droid Razr.
The new smartphone is set to include a 4-inch touch screen display with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor just like the Droid Razr.
It will also have 1 GB or RAM and Droid Razr styling, according to technology website Droid Life.
The leak failed to mention whether the screen for the Droid 4 would be LCD or AMOLED.
Like other Droids of the past, the iPhone 4 will sport a slide-out 5-row keyboard for customers looking to avoid touch screens, along with a high definition webcam in the front of the device for chatting and Skype.
Moreover, just like most high-end Android smartphones released recently, the Droid 4 will include and 8-megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture.
Micro HDMI and USB connectors will be available on the smartphone as well.
The device also will come with a slot for a microSD memory card capable of increasing the Droid 4’s memory capacity by 32 GB.
However, the device will not have a removable battery and a special tool will be needed to remove the backing so that an SD or SIM card can be inserted.
The first pictures of the Droid 4 surfaced on the Internet a few weeks ago, according to Droid Life.
Recent signs have pointed to a possible Dec. 8 launch for the upcoming Droid device.
Droid Life also added that it received confirmation that training has started for some Verizon shops regarding sales of the upcoming handset.
The Droid 4 will be a Verizon exclusive and be compatible with 4G LTE networks.
The Galaxy Nexus is also rumored for a Dec. 8 release.
