Duchess Kate Gala Charity Dinner Follows Prince George's Christening
Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, attended a charity dinner on Thursday, just one day after the christening of her son, Prince George.
The 31-year-old new mother had taken maternity leave from her royal duties in the months surrounding the arrival of Prince George on July 22.
However, the Duchess has since resumed her royal engagements, including Thursday's 100 Women Hedge Funds Gala. The event benefitted Action on Addiction, a charity sponsored by Middleton.

The gala saw Middleton as the guest of honor and included a special dinner, according to Hello! U.K. The Duchess was dressed in a floor-length navy V-neck dress by designer Jenny Packham and wore her long dark tresses down with soft curls.
During the event, the Duchess spoke of her son Prince George's christening, which took place on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at The Chapel Royal.
"He's such a good boy actually, we're very lucky, he's not always like that," she revealed to the U.K.'s Hello Magazine.
The private baptism ceremony of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's firstborn son saw the child held in the Lily Font in water from the River Jordan. He wore a hand-made replica of the royal christening robe worn by Princess Victoria in 1841.
His Royal Highness Prince George of Cambridge is third-in-line to the British throne following his grandfather, Prince Charles, and his father, Prince William.
The Duchess of Cambridge's first royal engagement since the arrival of Prince George occurred last month alongside her husband at the Tusk Trust Awards in London.
Then, last week, the Duchess visited Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for the SportsAid Athlete Workshop, where she chatted with young athletes and even played some volleyball.
In addition to 100 Women in Hedge Funds Philanthropic Initiatives and Action on Addiction aforementioned, Middleton is an official patron of eight other charities, including East Anglia Children's Hospices (EACH), National Portrait Gallery, Place2Be and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
