Duchess Kate Middleton Spends Valentine's Day With Youth at Charity Event
Duchess Kate Middleton didn't just have one date for Valentine's Day – she had several waiting for her when she arrived at a school in London. The Duchess, a representative for the Art Room charity, made a special appearance for the students at the school and was received with a lot of love.
According to reports, Middleton was welcomed like a rock star, with loud cheers and screams by students at the school. She was there to open a new facility for the Art Room and made time to be with the young artists and faculty and staff at the school.
"She really cares. She praised the work in the Art Room and she was moved and impressed by what she has seen. She's a wonderful human being," head teacher Gloria Lowe told People. Lowe was able to spend time with the Duchess during her tour of the facilities and the Art Room.

Students and faculty had nothing but a positive experience with the Duchess, who took on the Art Room as one of her select charities in order to allow youth to grow and thrive through art and design. It's also a therapeutic program that encourages creativity and self-confidence as students grow.
"The Art Room is transforming the lives of students who use it," Lowe said. "And [Middleton] absolutely loves art and commended the students in their work."
Middleton also spent time with the students while they drew, which was very exciting for them, according to another teacher, Emma Lowe.
"They were nervous to begin with, but as soon as she started talking to them about their work and focusing on their art, they were put at ease," Lowe said. "She was very impressed by their skills and complimented them on their work. We focus on the positives, even if it is down to how they have mixed a nice paint color."
One student particularly touched by Middleton was 14-year-old Carly McCormack. "She was amazing," McCormack raved. "She asked us our names and what we were interested in. She was so easy to talk to."
While Middleton spent time with the students, her husband Prince William, along with her brother-in-law, Prince Harry, helped to stave off flooding in Berkshire.
