'Duck Dynasty' News: Kurt Angle to Appear in Upcoming Season

In what could be one of the most exciting seasons of "Duck Dynasty," it has been confirmed that professional wrestler Kurt Angle will be making an appearance in the upcoming season.

While Angle isn't the first wrestler to guest on the show as "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan made an appearance in 2014, it is expected that his appearance will make wrestling fans watch the series.

Being a former WWE and TNA champion, it is only reasonable that he was requested to help Jep Robertson train to become a good wrestler. It is unclear just yet if he will appear in just one episode or if he will be a recurring character all throughout the ninth season.

In a preview for the upcoming season titled "The Wrestling Robertsons," the men are seen training and battling against each other in friendly wrestling bouts. Korie Robertson says she can't help but get worried while watching the big men battling it out in the ring. Jep also says the "Power Brothers" have been picking on him his entire life "but it's only made me stronger," he adds.

As multiple outlets suggest, Angle, who is an Olympic gold medalist, will be making Jep his student to help him put up a good fight against his bigger and probably more experienced brothers.

In a Twitter post on Dec. 23, Angle said, "@2WTalk: I see that @RealKurtAngle is going to be on the up coming new season of @DuckDynastyAE" "It's True."

The former champion's latest stint will be his first appearance outside of the wrestling ring since 2013 when he appeared as a guest star on "Baal Veer," an Indian children's show. When it was first announced that he will be a guest star on "Duck Dynasty," fans immediately expressed excitement for season 9, which will challenge the sportsmanship and strength of the men in the family.

"Duck Dynasty" season 9 premieres on Jan. 13, 2016 on A&E.
