Jep is one of four brothers in the Robertson family, the other three being Willie, CEO of the family's "Duck Commander" duck call business, Jase, and Alan. The brothers star alongside their wives and parents, Phil and Kay, on the A&E reality show "Duck Dynasty," which has proven to be a major ratings booster for the television network. Other stars of the show include the family's uncle, Si, children and grandchildren, and employees at the Duck Commander business, Justin Martin and John Godwin.

The family's patriarch, Phil, recently came under fire from gay activists due to comments he made regarding homosexuality in the January issue of GQ Magazine. Phil, an evangelical Christian, said he believed homosexuality to be a sin, and following backlash from gay activists he was temporarily suspended from appearing on the show. However, the suspension sparked an even larger public backlash and hundreds of thousands took to petitions calling for Robertson's reinstatement, with many saying they would boycott the A&E network for its treatment of Robertson. Nine days after the suspension was imposed, A&E backed down and reversed its decision, lifting the suspension.

Willie Robertson and his wife Korie spoke to Fox News on New Year's Eve to address the controversy, saying there were no hard feelings between the Robertson family and the television network. "We're just glad to be back to work. A&E and us [sic] are fine […] We're looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It's a new year," Robertson told Fox News' "All-American New Year" on Dec. 31 from their holiday vacation in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

Wife Korie added, "The best thing about the show is we get to do it together as a family."

The "Duck Dynasty" reality show will return to the A&E network for its next season on Jan. 15 as the show continues to follow the Robertson family through their daily antics on their expansive property in West Monroe, La. The show will begin filming for its next season in spring 2014.
