'Duck Dynasty' Season 4 Premiere Date Set for August
"Duck Dynasty" Season 4 will premiere in August, according to an announcement by A&E on Wednesday. The surprising hit television series will enter its fourth season on Wednesday Aug. 14, the network announced. However, the Robertson family has not yet made a salary agreement for doing the show.
The Season 3 finale of "Duck Dynasty" saw over 9.6 million viewers, marking A&E's record high. Also, the finale became the highest-rated show on both cable and broadcast that night, beating out even "American Idol."
As a result, the Robertson family had been demanding an increase in salary to as much as $200,000 per episode, according to Yahoo.
Nevertheless, the season four premiere will see a one-hour special episode that kicks off at A&E at 10 p.m. EST.
A&E's reality series follows the lives of the Robertson family who became wealthy from their family-operated business, Duck Commander, which is located in Monroe, Louisiana and makes products for duck hunters.
Due to the success of the show, the Robertsons founded the Duck Commander Cruise line which allows fans to "get up close and personal" with the entire cast during a four night cruise of the Caribbean.
In an exciting new development, Scotty McCreery announced that he is joining the "Duck Dynasty" Cruise Cast next year. The "American Idol" winner posted the news to Twitter last month.
"So here's the news ya'll," started the 19-year-old. "I'll be joining the @DuckCruise with @DuckDynastyAE next summer! Gonna be tons of fun! Come out and sail with us!"
McCreery's announcement about joining the cruise comes as no surprise. Despite embarking on his very first headlining tour, the "I Love You This Big" singer recently took time to perform at the Sweet 16 birthday party of "Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson.
While at the Robertson home, McCreery also went off-roading with Sadie's brother John Luke Robertson and sampled the cooking of their grandmother, Kay Robertson, according to Country Weekly.
