'Duck Dynasty' Si Robertson's Face Carved Into 7-Acre Corn Maze

A corn maze in Georgia is gaining attention for its ornate design, meant to represent a main character on A&E's hit reality show "Duck Dynasty."

The maze, constructed by Corn Dawgs, is located in Loganville, Georgia and features the iconic face of Si Robertson, the eccentric uncle on A&E's wholesome reality show "Duck Dynasty." An aerial view of the large corn field reveals the twists and turns carved into the corn that make up a design of Si's memorable beard, face and cap. Above Si's face reads one of his many catchphrases, "Hey Jack."

According to a press release from Corn Dawgs Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch, the Si Robertson-themed maze spans an area of 7 acres, and includes 3.5 miles of winding turns that will take visitors about two hours to complete.

The couple behind Corn Dawgs Corn Maze, Misty and Lamar Duren, have been known to come up with creative ideas for their annual corn maze theme that they have been carving into their fields for the past five years. Last year, they reportedly created a giant design of then-retiring Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones.

Misty Duren told the Gwinnett Daily Post that she and her husband initially planned to carve all four main characters from "Duck Dynasty," including Willie, Jase, Phil, and Si, into the crop, but they then realized such an intricate design would be too difficult. Duren says she then decided on just Si as their crop theme because he is her favorite character.

"When I was deciding to the do the maze, I love 'Duck Dynasty' and it was spur of the moment [decision]," Duren told the local paper. "We've gotten more of a response on Facebook from Si than Chipper Jones," she added.

Participants in the Corn Dawgs maze will be able to use the smartphone application Farm Scene Investigation to navigate their way through the maze. The application has the same theme as the board game "Clue," in that players must follow hints and tips to make their way through the maze and determine where the missing Farmer Joe has gone. If the application's hints are not enough help, maze attendants will be set up throughout the corn field to help lost travelers, who will also be given a flag to raise if they cannot find their way out.

The Corn Dawgs Maze & Pumpkin Patch will be open from September 22 until November 3, and will also feature a series of other activities, including bouncy castles, a toddler's corn maze, "Duck Dynasty"-themed games and more.

A&E's "Duck Dynasty" reality show is in its second season and features the lives of the Robertson family, inventors of the highly popular Duck Commander duck call. The family members, native to Louisiana, have been expressive of their evangelical Christian faith. Although the show itself does not delve too deeply into religion, family patriarch Phil Robertson has made it clear in interviews, as well as his book Happy Happy Happy, that he attributes his great success to his faith in God.
