'Duck Dynasty' Star Sadie Robertson Leads All-Female Bible Study, Urges Fans to Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
Sadie Robertson, who stars on A&E's "Duck Dynasty," recently shared photos from her all-female Bible study before encouraging her thousands of followers to spread only love.
The 17-year-old model revealed photos of a small group of six girls who gathered with their Bibles to discuss Scripture last week. Surrounded by a wide variety of candy and colored markers, Robertson and the rest of the group focused on Mark 12:31's command: Love thy neighbor.
"Gr8 bible study with gr8 people," Robertson shared on Instagram on Jan. 19. "I encourage you to make something special for someone who is special to you. let them know how much you appreciate them. pass on love. love your neighbor as yourself. love is contagious. you never know how much a little thing can encourage someone."
The post was not the first time Robertson shared Scripture with her followers. Over the weekend, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant had another piece of advice for fans, taken from 1 John 4:11-12.
"wanted to share this verse with y'all this morning & encourage everyone to love those around you," the teenager posted to Instagram along with a photo of herself. "No one has ever seen God, but we can show people God through the way we love. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us."
Meanwhile, Robertson and her family rose to fame on "Duck Dynasty" which chronicles the family duck-call business, Duck Commander. The conservative Christian family also includes Sadie's grandfather, Phil Robertson, his brother Si, and his sons Willie, Jase and Alan, among many more. "Duck Dynasty" has spawned several books, including unPHILtered: The Way I See It and Live Original, as well as an upcoming musical headed to Las Vegas.
