'Duck Dynasty' Star Sadie Robertson Posts Birthday Tribute to Grandmother
Sadie Robertson of "Duck Dynasty" shared a special tribute to her grandmother Chrys Howard during a birthday celebration over the weekend.
The 17-year-old model, who is daughter of Willie and Korie Robertson, celebrated her maternal grandmother's birthday along with other members of her famous family. Furthermore, Robertson took to social media with a photo taken with Howard, whom she referred to as her "second mother."
"I would like to give a huge happy birthday shout out to my 2mama, you are literally like my 2nd mama," Robertson began. "I can't imagine my life without you. You have helped raise me into the person I am today & I thank you so much for telling me (sic) everyday to be a good leader & example. That has always stuck with me & always will. Thank you for leading by example. Ps: you are the hottest grandma I have ever seen. Keep on rocking. I love you."
In response to the birthday wishes, Howard shared a photo from her special celebration, which included dinner with Sadie's brother, John Luke.
"I can't even begin to say how grateful I am for all my birthday wishes," the famous grandmother posted to Instagram. "You are ALL so precious to me."
Meanwhile, Robertson is well-known for her confident yet modest style, which is the result of her family's Christian values. The reality star even penned a book entitled "Live Original: How the Duck Commander Teen Keeps It Real and Stays True to Her Values." The former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant has also spoken up about the importance of confidence, citing her faith as a source of strength. In a past interview, Robertson recalled a negative experience among other fashion models on the runway during New York Fashion Week.
"Many of them did not say a word to me," Robertson explained, according to RadarOnline. "They just looked at me like they had icicles in their eyes. They cared way too much about their outward appearance. Confidence is an inside thing. I could have totally lost it over the comments people made and the icy looks they gave me, but I didn't. God has been training me my whole life… to be strong and confident."
