'Duck Dynasty' Star Sadie Robertson Quotes Bible Ahead of 'Dancing with the Stars' Debut (Video)
"Duck Dynasty" star Sadie Robertson made her first appearance as a competitor on "Dancing with the Stars" last night, but not before honoring God.
The 17-year-old model was announced as a season 19 cast member earlier this month and is paired with "DWTS" pro Mark Ballas. Ahead of their debut on the dance floor, Robertson tweeted a passage from the Bible referring to dancing.
"a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, Ecclesiastes 3:4 NIV) ITS DANCE TIME," Robertson posted on Sept. 15 ahead of Monday's show.
It was not the first time the teen shared insight to her faith along her "DWTS" journey. Ahead of relocating to Los Angeles, where the television series is filmed, Robertson shared a godly gift from her mother, Korie Robertson, via Twitter.
"Packing for La, thank you @bosshogswife for my devotional book to take with me," Robertson wrote on Instagram on Sunday night. "God comes with me no matter where I go."
Robertson's post featured a photo of the book "Living So That: Making Faith-Filled Choices in the Midst of a Messy Life" by Wendy Blight.
Meanwhile, Sadie is the daughter of Willie Robertson and the granddaughter of Phil Robertson who each star on A&E's "Duck Dynasty." The teenager and her "DWTS" partner Ballas are known as #TeamQuackAttack and wowed fans with their first performance on Monday. The duo performed the cha cha. Watch a video here.
It was revealed earlier this month that A&E signed "Duck Dynasty" to the network through next year. In a clip for "DWTS," Robertson discussed her famous family as well as their reality series.
"I would say I'm a pretty goofy person- I have grown up in a family that doesn't really care what other people think about them," Robertson explained. "I don't know if you have seen 'Duck Dynasty' but if you've seen Uncle Si, he's kind of our example, He does not care what anybody thinks and so he's kind of set the tone for us. We are not afraid to make people laugh at us because we like for people to laugh at us."
"DWTS" airs on ABC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST, while "Duck Dynasty" airs on A&E Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
