Duggar Family '19 Kids and Counting' News: TLC Blurred Out Anti-Abortion Shirts Worn in the Show
"19 Kids & Counting" stars and family members have been known for their conservative Christian views and they are very vocal about it. However, on one of the show's episode, TLC blurred out some details on their wardrobe items that are explicitly expressing their views.
In the latest episode of the Duggar family reality show, the words "I Survived Roe vs Wade, Roe vs Wade Will Not Survive Me" printed on a T-shirt was blurred out by TLC.
It all started when Stand True activist and anti-abortion advocate Bryan Kemper met a few of the Duggar stars last January during a Students for Life of America Conference.
According to Kemper in Life News, Jessica Duggar was given a shirt that reads with the aforementioned message. The 21-year-old Duggar then emailed Kemper asking him if he could send a bunch of them for her family to wear during the show. He did send them the requested items, which they wore that episode.
"They actually took some family photos wearing the shirts and have tweeted out the photos and promoted our pro-life store," the activist revealed.
But Kemp's excitement was thwarted when in the latest airing of the reality show, he found out that the words on the shirts were censored out.
"Tonight I was excited to watch a new episode and see if any of the family was wearing one of our shirts again. I was shocked when I saw the shirt again but this time I was shocked because they had actually blurred out the message," Kemp later wrote.
The incident sparked reactions on the social media.
On their Facebook page, one follower wrote, "Do you really have to blur out the Duggar's [sic] pro-life t-shirts? Do you really think people that think children are a curse and should be legally killed are watching a show about a family with 19 children?"
"Your network knows how the Duggars feel about God and family … Without their Pro-life stance you would not have their popular show," another one pointed out.
TLC and its representatives still haven't given a word of explanation about the ruckus.
