Dwayne Johnson News: Actor Halts 'Baywatch' Production to Meet Special Needs Fan

Despite his masculine built, Dwayne Johnson has a very soft spot for his fans who sacrifice time and effort to meet him and on Monday, he made a special needs fan's dream come true though it wasn't all too easy for the actor as he had to stop his upcoming movie's production so he can talk to his fan and the family.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Johnson revealed that he was ready to shoot his scenes for "Baywatch" that day but he heard that the family of his fan, Ryan, who is a special needs patient, was hoping to meet and greet him. "They understood that they travelled in unannounced but they were willing to wait all day until I wrapped to meet. That would've [been] 12 hours. Way too long," he wrote.

He went on to explain that he "asked production to hold" and walked out of the set so he won't have to make Ryan and his mom wait until he completed shooting.

It turns out that "The Rock" as wrestling fans know him, isn't made up of stone after all. He said in the post that when Ryan's mom started to cry as they hugged, it was a moment that made him remember that he was also a parent who will do whatever to takes to make his children smile.

According to People, Johnson was also able to meet Ryan he said the kid is "stronger and tougher" than he initially thought before finally meeting the boy.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the professional wrestler-turned-actor called his experience one of his "lucky" days as he was given the opportunity to be able to make fans' dreams come true in simple ways such as halting production so fans won't have to wait for too long.

The outlet notes that this isn't the first incident that proved Johnson's heart. Last month, the former WWE champion also took time off his workout so he can meet survivors from the Live Strong Foundation.

Johnson is known for his career in the WWF and WWE but he has also made a name in Hollywood and his next project is "Baywatch," which hits theaters on May 19, 2017.
