Dwayne Johnson Sells Estate for $4.9 Million (PHOTO)
Dwayne Johnson has sold his estate in Hidden Hills for a massive price to an unnamed businessman, raking in an impressive sum close to the $4.9 million asking price.
Dwayne Johnson's estate, tucked away in Los Angeles, is worth the hefty sum the wrestler received for it. At 9,120 square feet, it classifies as a mansion.
The mansion is also packed to the brim with rooms, boasting six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, an infinity pool, a home theater, a barbershop, terraced lawn, and numerous flat screen TVs.
The mansion isn't technically sold yet, but it is "in escrow and scheduled to close shortly," TMZ reported.
The realtors for the sale- Tomer Fridman of Sotheby's represents the buyer, while Andrew Manning of Prudential represents Johnson- will certainly be well compensated for the multi-million dollar deal.
Johnson selling his home isn't the only deal he's inked recently. The actor's recent return to action films, beginning with "Faster" in 2010, has excited filmmakers. To date, he has three movies coming out in the next year, with more on the way.
Buying and selling huge estates and mansions has become a mark of the celebrity elite. While some celebrate their success with parties or outings, mega-rich celebrities celebrate by buying new homes. The Rock is only the latest star to buy or sell a huge home.
Teen pop star Justin Bieber purchased a home in Calabasas, Calif. for just over $6 million earlier this year in April.
The "Boyfriend" singer selected a home in an affluent area of the San Fernando Valley, 22 miles from Los Angeles. The 9,000 square-foot property was originally priced at $7.5 million, but Bieber drove a hard bargain, taking the price down.
Even the mayor of Calabasas, Mary Sue Maurer, said she is thrilled Bieber is moving to the area, according to TMZ.
"Justin is welcomed to Calabasas and his privacy will be respected just like everyone else's," said Maurer.
