'DWTS' Feud Continues, Mark Ballas 'Furious' With Hough

Julianne Hough and Mark Ballas continue to be at odds following Hough's critique during Monday's episode of "Dancing With The Stars."

A former professional dancer on the television series, Hough stepped in as a guest judge during Monday's dance competition, which marks the show's 17th season.

This season, Ballas is paired with R&B singer Christina Milian. During Monday's episode, Hough issued a harsh response to the couples' foxtrot performance.

Days later, insiders revealed that Ballas was still fuming over Hough's sharp critique.

"The dancers were all talking about it," an insider told Us magazine. "Mark was so pissed after his routine, he was in silence, just gritting his teeth for a long time. He was so angry. Julianne is like his little sister he grew up with, and for her to make that dig at him … He felt like that was just so uncalled for."

Also, Ballas thanked fans for defending him on Twitter after the show.

"Just want y'all to know how much I appreciate each one of you supporting @ChristinaMilian and any of my partners… Love u guys #dwts."

Ballas' anger ignited when Hough offered her reaction to Ballas and Milian's foxtrot.

"There were moments where I felt like choreography-wise, I felt like it was two people dancing side-by-side rather than together," the 25-year-old actress started on Monday's show.

"So I really want to see [Millian] shine," Hough continued. "I've danced with Mark. You have to stand in front to make sure you're seen."

Nevertheless, Milian and Ballas earned a total of 24 points for their performance, tying them in second place with three other couples on the show.

Despite their successful score, Ballas made no secret of his disappointment in his friend since childhood, saying Hough's comments were "hypocritical" after the show.

"The one comment for me that was a little funny is that I make it all about me … all the critiques were at me, and not at [Milian], so I thought that was a little hypocritical comment," Ballas explained to Us magazine.

Accepting "the heat," the pro dancer added that having Hough back on "DWTS" since she left during season eight was overall pleasant.

"I think [Hough] was very insightful tonight though and gave great tips on lines and how to express," he said. "We've had a lot of guest judges and I thought out of all of them she was one of the best. So that part, I love. I was the one who kind of got the heat, but you know, that's ok! It's fine."

"DWTS" airs Mondays on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
