DWTS Performances Tonight: Who Will Win?
ABC’s 13th season of “Dancing with the Stars” has nearly wrapped up and just days before Thanksgiving the three remaining couples will return to the ballroom with performances.
The two-part season finale starts Monday where U.S. Army veteran J.R. Martinez, TV host Ricki Lake, and reality TV star Rob Kardashian will choose their own dance styles in the last leg of the competition.
Widely slated to win, Lake and her professional dancing partner Derek Hough have received consistently high scores throughout the season. In addition to wowing her fans with dancing moves, Lake’s appearance on “DWTS” has rebooted her television career. The former talk show host has announced that “The Ricki Lake Show” is returning in 2012.
Ahead of the finale, Lake posted her thoughts about the dance competition on her Twitter account.
“I heart my dance partner and teacher @derekhough! What a season! I’ll never forget it. #DWTS #drikilous #Final3 xo,” wrote Lake.
The 43-year-old added, “Last wardrobe fitting & camera blocking. Happy and sad it’s almost over. #DWTS.”
J.R. Martinez has remained a favorite contestant on the show alongside his dance partner Karina Smirnoff. Despite twisting his ankle and receiving some of his worst scores last week, the Iraq war veteran and actor said he is ready to give a “fearless” performance Monday.
Feeling down about last week’s points, Martinez was able to rise above the challenging injury. He tweeted, “I love my life. Seriously I’ve been through hell but I feel like I’m in heaven. Never give up & always believe!”
Looking back, Martinez also wrote, “Can’t believe this is the last Sunday of season 13. It all went by so fast- grateful to be in the finals along side (sic) @RobKardashian and @RickiLake.
Rob Kardashian and his partner Cheryl Burke will also participate in the finals tonight. The dancing dup has remained in the competition with upbeat performances.
Preparing for the final round, 22-year-old Kardashian took to Twitter with his excitement.
“Just finished one of our last rehearsals! Excited for tomorrow. Make sure u all tune in and vote. Finals here we come!!”
The champions of the mirror ball trophy will be determined by a combination of the judge’s scores tonight and the viewer’s votes. “DWTS” airs on ABC Monday at 8 p.m. EST.
