"Dancing with the Stars" got underway with Hollywood Night before the second elimination of the season took place on Monday night.

The third week into the show saw each remaining star return to the dance floor with their professional dance partners as they continue to vie for season 17's mirrorball trophy.

Unfortunately, one celebrity contestant will not be returning to the show next week.

With consistently low scores followed by a leg injury, Bill Nye "the Science Guy" and his partner Tyne Stecklin were sent home during Monday's episode.

Despite tearing 80 percent of his quadriceps, Nye was still able to "dance" while dressed like a robot and making robotic movements in order to protect his injury during the show.

"The leg feels pretty good because we've been working on it," said the professor.

Nevertheless, Nye and Stecklein earned a mere 16 points for their routine, even with the audience chanting "Bill, Bill, Bill."

As for the rest of "DWTS" Hollywood Night, the show paid tribute to the "biggest movie stars ever."

The first dance was a James Bond-inspired Rumba performance by Leah Remini and her partner Tony Dovolani. The "King of Queens" star and her partner earned 24 points of out of 30 for the night.

As the night progressed, the highest score went to Brant Daugherty and Peta Mergatroyd who earned 27 points with their quick step.

Attempting the fastest quick step ever on the show, Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff wowed the audience as well as the judges, earning 26 points. Their score tied them with Christina Millian and Mark Ballas who also earned 26 points on Monday.

Elizabeth Berkley and Maks Chmerkovskiy followed with a score of 25, which tied them with Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Sasha Farber.

Comedian Bill Engvall and his partner Emma Slater earned 24 points, tying them with "Glee" star Amber Riley and Derek Hough

Jack Osbourne and his partner Cheryl Burke followed with 22 points before Valerie Harper and Tristan MacManus earned a dismal 16 points for their routine on Monday.

Meanwhile, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and their daughter Kelly were among the audience members again this week in order to support Jack. Also showing support for Amber Riley were fellow "Glee" co-stars Darren Criss and harry Shum, while J-Wow came out to support "Jersey Shore" co-star Snooki on Monday.

"DWTS" airs on ABC Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.
