'Dying Light: The Following' DLC to Be Released Early 2016
Techland's "Dying Light: The Following" is rumored to have a new DLC coming out early next year, and fans are already anxious to get their hands on the game's expansion.
The survival zombie apocalypse game's new DLC still has no confirmed release date, but there have been reports saying it will come out in the first quarter of 2016. Game developer Techland already gave a sneak peek into "Dying Light: The Following's" expansion, giving fans more reason for their heightened excitement over the additional content, according to a Gamespot report cited by Christian Today.
Techland had earlier explained that it is pushing back the release date for "Dying Light: The Following's" new DLC to allow the developer to gain more time in perfecting the expansion. Although it has already taken a long time, the upcoming DLC promises to be worth the wait because of the "content and surprises" they have put together, the report relays.
Aside from that, an untold story will also be included in the "Dying Light: The Following's" upcoming DLC. Plus, it will come with a bonus of 10 more gameplay hours, The Venture Capital (VC) Post reports.
In August, Techland released a few glimpses from the new DLC for "Dying Light: The Following" during the Gamescom event. The demo video revealed that fully customizable dune buggies, new gear, additional weapons, and other new items will be added once the new content is made available.
Moreover, the developers of "Dying Light: The Following's" are collecting player feedback to be used in the game itself. They plan to include fans' "messages of distress, horror, or bravery" in different parts of the game in a unique mission in an old post office.
Rumor has it that "Dying Light: The Following's" DLC might be released during the Paris Games Week. Fans will be able to get their hands on all the additional items including Kyle Crane's untold story with the current season pass or drop $14.99.
"Dying Light: The Following" will be released for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and the Xbox One. However, it will also be compatible with Linux.
