Ed Sheeran Postpones Parts of Asia Tour Following Bike Accident
Ed Sheeran needed to postpone some of his concert tour stops in Asia following his recent bike accident.
Earlier this week, the "Shape of You" singer confirmed through his official Instagram page that he met an unfortunate accident while riding his bicycle. Even before the postponement of several tour dates was announced, Sheeran had already predicted in the same post that the injuries he sustained would affect a number of shows.
Sheeran is set to be on tour to promote his newest album "Divide," but due to his accident, the music artist was forced to postpone seven shows in Asia including those in Taipei on Oct. 22, in Osaka on Oct. 25, in Seoul on Oct. 29, in Tokyo on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, and in Hong Kong on Nov. 4 and Nov. 5.

In another social media message posted the day after Sheeran confirmed his accident, he addressed fans and shared that his doctors have detected that his right wrist and left elbow were fractured. The British musician added: "That will leave me unable to perform live concerts for the immediate future."
While the following shows in Manila, Jakarta, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Mumbai, and Dubai will still push through as indicated in his website, Sheeran also told his over 15 million Instagram followers: "I'm waiting to see how the healing progresses before we have to decide on shows beyond that. Please stay tuned for more details."
Sheeran's concerts are very famous for his live playing of the guitar and other musical instruments, so having a fractured wrist and arm would obviously prevent the artist from delivering the performance that his fans have grown to love.
After touring around Asia, Sheeran is also scheduled to perform in several concerts next year in Australia by March and in Europe by May.
