Edward Furlong Arrested for Alleged Domestic Battery

Actor Edward Furlong has been arrested for "possible domestic violence," police said. He was immediately taken into custody after arriving on a flight at Los Angeles International Airport.

The "Terminator 2" actor was arrested after airport police received a call about a "possible domestic violence investigation," Sgt. Belinda Nettles said in an official statement. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.

Furlong has a history with authorities fueled by a drug and alcohol addiction. In 2001, he was arrested twice in the same day for driving without a license and drunk driving. He then entered rehab for drug addiction, which he told Contact Music was "the hardest thing I've ever had to do, physically and mentally."

Then in 2004, he was arrested for public intoxication and posted bail, but in 2009 he was arrested for alleged domestic violence against his wife, Rachel Bella. According to Bella, he punched her and left her in a constant state of fear and anxiety. She filed a restraining order against him, in addition to filing for divorce.

Furlong was arrested in 2010 for violating his probation by coming within 50 yards of Bella. He was released the next morning and has managed to focus on his work since then. Furlong starred in "The Green Hornet" and "For the Love of Money," as well as the upcoming "Zombie King."

In addition to the big-screen, Furlong has starred on several episodes of "CSI: NY." Yet for all of his work, Furlong told a judge he could no longer pay child support because he was "completely broke," leading to speculation about what exactly he was spending his money on.

He is the father of son Ethan, 6, whom he had with ex-wife Bella. She has primary custody of the child but Furlong sees him whenever possible.
