'Elder Scrolls Legends' Latest News: Card Game's PC Version Now Available
Bethesda's free-to-play collectible card game "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" is now available on PC.
The Hearthstone-style card video game has been in beta on PC since last year, but Bethesda recently announced that the card game entry to "The Elder Scrolls" game franchise is now officially live. Interested gamers can download the game for free using the Bethesda.net launcher.
Aside from the release of the game's PC version, Bethesda also unveiled important dates for future milestones of "The Elder Scrolls: Legends." The card game will soon be available on the iPad on March 23, on Android tablets in April, on the Mac OS in May, and on mobile phones sometime in early summer.
The launch date of its first major story campaign update, "The Fall of the Dark Brotherhood," was revealed to arrive on "The Elder Scrolls: Legends" this coming April 5. The new content features a brand-new story as well as new solo player-versus-player content which contains more than 20 missions spread across three maps.
The story of "The Fall of the Dark Brotherhood" is set before the events of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim," and over 40 new cards will be introduced with the forthcoming major update. The expansion can be acquired by gamers using either in-game gold or real money. It can be purchased as individual maps or as a bundle for $20.
A bigger expansion for the "Elder Scrolls" card game is also slated to be announced in June during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event. This update will come with a new set of cards, mechanics and more.
As a bonus for "Elder Scrolls" online gamers, those who pick up "The Fall of the Dark Brotherhood" expansion will also get a Doom Wolf mount which they can use in the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG).
"The Elder Scrolls: Legends" is now available to download for free on PC. Versions of the game on other platforms will be launched in the near future.
