'Elegant Yokai Apartment Life' Episode 17 Spoilers: Can Good Intentions Lead to Evil Deeds at the Joutou Business High School?

Following a pretty laidback episode, conflicts and complications may start anew on the next episode of the Japanese supernatural anime series, "Elegant Yokai Apartment Life." Could there be something more going on with the new teacher Aoki than what she lets on?

Although it has been mentioned in passing before, the nature of Akine's job was only brought to light in the previous episode, when the elderly patients from the hospital she has been working at gathered near a waterfall for a moon viewing party accompanied by the residents of the Kotobuki-so.

Akine's patients were also a combination of yokai and humans who peacefully co-exist together, much like Yuushi Inaba and the rest of the tenants at the yokai apartments. Thus, the episode provided an uncomplicated view of yokai and humans relaxing together under the light of a full moon.

But things are not going to be so calm when Yuushi returns to school on the next episode titled "The Road to Hell Is Paved With Good Intentions."

The statement is a popular proverb or aphorism. The most common interpretation of which is that wrongdoings or evil actions may often be disguised as good intentions. Another meaning is that even the best of intentions once acted upon may lead to inadvertently evil consequences. Yet another interpretation states that good intentions are useless and are as good as evil unless acted upon.

Judging by these possible meanings and the preview for the episode, it seems that Yuushi will once again have a brush up with the troubled freshman, Konatsu, who has previously joined Yuushi and Tashiro's English Conversation Club. And it seems that all that pent-up anger inside her is about to reach new heights.

Moreover, one of the new teachers at school, Aoki, seems to also be at the center of what's about to happen at Yuushi's school. But how could Aoki's kindness and pure aura possibly lead to anything sinister?
