'Elementary' News, Trailer Details: Joan Warns Papa Holmes About Not Hurting Sherlock in Season 4 Teaser
The latest promo trailer for the fourth season of CBS' hit drama TV series "Elementary" has arrived over the weekend and judging from the details thrown by the video, it appears that it's not only Sherlock (Johnny Lee Miller) who is not happy with his father coming over to the States.
First published over at Entertainment Weekly, Design & Trend shared the highlight reel which opens up with the sleuth in a precinct probably giving his testimony that he "nearly killed a man," referring to Oscar (Michael Weston). Sharing his thoughts with his ever-present sober companion, Joan (Lucy Liu), he said that "depending on the DA's mood," he might end up in prison. Joan, however, assures Sherlock that what he feared won't happen.
In the event that Sherlock will really get incarcerated for his acts, he won't be locked up alone.
"The only thing that matters to me is our partnership, so if you go, I go," Joan said as she gave Sherlock a hug.
The clip also revealed some of the more pressing issues that the duo will face in Season 4 and this would include Mr. Holmes arriving in town.
Played by John Noble, earlier reports indicated that Morland's arrival in New York won't particularly give a happy feel for Sherlock.
Executive producer Rob Doherty told Entertainment Weekly that "Sherlock does not appreciate the attention or the distraction that his dad represents."
In fact, Doherty teased that the season opener will see the manifestation of the son's indifference towards his old man when they engaged in a "very icy exchange." The reason behind such animosity, according to the EP, "certainly has to do with the one member of the Holmes family" that the show has not featured yet: Sherlock's mother.
Moreover, it appears that it's not only Sherlock who is quite displeased with the uninvited visit. The new trailer sees Joan giving the elder Mr. Sherlock some ominous warning.
"I'm not gonna let you hurt him," Joan said.
"Elementary" Season 4 premieres Thursday, November 5 at 10/9c on CBS.
