'Elementary' Season 4 Episode 2 Spoilers: Morland Offers Help Using Influence, Joan Watson's Stepfather to Appear?
American crime drama series "Elementary" has kicked off its fourth season and the first episode was a promising one, especially with the return of the brilliant detective's father. And now, the show is ready to air its second episode.
According to a report by Latin Post, episode 2 will be titled "Evidence of Things Not Seen" and it will continue on after the events of the previous episode wherein Morland Holmes (John Noble) arrived at the doorstep of his son Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller). As expected, Sherlock isn't delighted with the reunion and is trying to figure out the real motive of his faher coming to town.
The teaser released for the upcoming episode showed that Sherlock's trusty sidekick, Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) is doubtful towards Morland. She expressed her doubt to him telling him that she isn't sure that she could trust him.

The synopsis detailed in The Futon Critic revealed that Morland will offer to help Joan and Sherlock by using his influence to have them reinstated back in the NYPD as consultants. This will make Sherlock question him even more and curious of his real motive for helping. The synopsis also said that Joan will be taking a gig with FBI to look into a triple homicide case in a top-secret research lab.
Something else is also bound to come up for Joan too. Spoilers said that the detective may be greeting a family member in the show as well. Design & Trend detailed that series executive producer Rob Doherty recently disclosed that Joan's stepfather might appear on the show sometime this season.
"A few episodes in the season we're going to meet her stepfather and discover they [too] have a pretty complicated relationship," TV Guide quoted Doherty as saying.
Joan's mother, Mary (Freda Foh Shen), has already made an appearance in the show twice. This leads to the possibility that Sherlock's mother may also be introduced soon.
"Elementary" season 4 airs every Thursday night at 10 p.m. on CBS.
