'Elementary' Season 4 Episode 3 Spoilers – Sherlock Hopes His Deal With Father Will Make Him Go
Episode 3 of Season 4 of "Elementary" has a harassed Sherlock making a deal with his father in a bid to get him away from New York as he and Watson try to solve a crime involving lookalikes.
The synopsis of this episode titled "Tag, You're Me" states: "When Sherlock finds himself distracted by his father's ongoing presence in New York City, he offers to help Morland resolve a work issue in exchange for his prompt departure home. Also, Holmes and Watson's investigation into the double murder of two men who looked alike leads them into the world of facial recognition technology."
From the synopsis, it looks like Sherlock Holmes is desperate to get his father out of his hair and resorts to deal-making with his father to make him leave New York for good. But viewers know that Morland Holmes is made of sterner stuff. He is not going to budge.

The promo has some comic moments between Sherlock and Joan Watson. Sherlock is standing at the bottom of the staircase, a stereo over his head which is playing "The Battle Hymn of the Republic" loudly. Watson runs down the stairs and tells him that the song should be by Peter Gabriel, to which Sherlock retorts nonchalantly, "Never heard of it."
The next shots of the promo show Sherlock and Watson investigating a double murder of lookalikes that is so confusing that they need the help of facial recognition technology to solve this case.
In the previous episode titled, "Evidence of Things Not Seen," Sherlock's father, Morland, might just be trying to get his son on track by solving his addiction issues. But Sherlock does not trust his father and seems to think that he has a secret agenda of his own and there is a good enough reason that his father wants Sherlock and Watson back at consulting at the NYPD.
Even though things may not be great between Morland and Watson, he trusts her with Sherlock as he says, "She saved my son's life."
So viewers will continue to see more of the enigmatic Morland, even if Sherlock wants to boot him out.
Episode 3 of Season 4 of "Elementary" will air on Nov. 19 on CBS.
