'Elementary' Season 5 Episode 16 Spoilers: Kitty Reveals Future Plans to Sherlock
Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) will learn what his protégée Kitty (Ophelia Lovibond) plans to do in the future in the upcoming episode of "Elementary."
In the episode titled "Fidelity," the synopsis (according to CarterMatt) reveals that Kitty and Sherlock's relationship will take a hit when she reveals what is on her mind.
Last week, Kitty told her mentor that she was already a mother. What Kitty has yet to share with him is that she wants to quit being a sleuth. She has already explained her side to Joan (Lucy Liu). According to Kitty, after wrapping up the case they are currently handling, she will quit her job and instead focus on being a counselor to the anti-human trafficking group she belongs to.
Kitty does not know how to broach the subject to Sherlock out of fear that he is going to be disappointed in her. She owes a lot to her mentor. For over a year, she learned everything in the trade because of him. Joan told Kitty that she should not keep the truth to herself for too long. Sherlock will definitely understand.
Unfortunately, before Kitty could say anything to him, he was arrested by the people from the Defense Intelligence Agency. However, it still remains a mystery what the government wants from him.
The promo released sheds a little light on what is really happening.
In the teaser, Anson Gephardt (Scott Shepherd) appears to be a rogue agent targeting Sherlock. During the interrogation, Anson shoots the other agents and urges Sherlock to think about his future. Is he recruiting the consultant for a top secret job?
When Sherlock somehow manages to escape and meets with Joan, he mentions something about a video and World War 3. Meanwhile, the enemy will continue to hunt him down. While with Joan and Kitty, a rider open fires at them.
"Elementary" season 5 episode 16 airs on Sunday, March 12 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
