'Elementary' Season 5 Spoilers: Sherlock Plans Revenge on Shinwell

Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) will not let Shinwell (Nelsan Ellis) get away with hurting him in the upcoming episode of "Elementary."

In the episode titled "High Heat," the synopsis (according to TV Guide) reveals that Sherlock is still smarting over the fact that the ex-convict beat him senseless. Last episode, the consultant found out that Shinwell was the one who killed his former gang member. When Sherlock confronted the other man, the latter vehemently denied it. Later on, Shinwell went to Sherlock's house and punched him. He admitted the crime and said he did it as part of his plans to take down the entire gang. Shinwell warned Sherlock that anyone who gets in his way would be eliminated.

Although Sherlock definitely wants to get revenge on Shinwell, he will not do so for Joan's (Lucy Liu) sake. She still does not know the truth and he prefers to keep it to himself for the time being.

Instead of beating Shinwell to a pulp, Sherlock will take out his anger on the case he and Joan will handle. A private investigator has been murdered. Although Sherlock has always considered the victim as the worst in all of New York, he knows the latter does not deserve what happened to him. A preliminary probe points to a local organization of sleuths as the culprit.

As Sherlock investigates further, he will realize that the only way to solve the case is to demolish the said club and flush out the killer. It does not help that he is thoroughly frustrated with his life at the moment, making him more sensitive and quick-tempered than before. Once he is done with the case, perhaps, it is time to face off with Shinwell. It does not matter what Joan will say. For Sherlock, Shinwell will never get another chance to hurt him again.

"Elementary" season 5 episode 19 will air Sunday, April 9 at 10 p.m. EDT on CBS.
