Eman Moss and Tiffany Moss: Police Reports Reveal Dead 10-Year-Old Tried to Run Away in 2012
Emani Moss, the 10-year-old girl whose body was found burned in a garbage can, had tried to previously run away new reports reveal.
Police reports detail that in 2012 Emani had previously tried to run away from home and later school administrators noticed that the girl showed signs of abuse. The schools nurse found bruises on Emani's body in March 2010 with the girl attempting to run away in July 2012, as reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Documents also reveal that Georgia child-welfare officials signed a 2010 plea deal ordering Tiffany Moss to serve five years of probation for child abuse.

Her father, Eman Moss, and her stepmother, Tiffany Moss, are being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Detention Center on charges of felony murder, cruelty to children and concealing the death of another, a jail spokeswoman told ABC.
Local police received a 911 emergency call and were dispatched to the Moss' residence at 3:43 a.m. on Saturday morning, Gwinnett County Sgt. Brian Doan said in a statement.
"While talking to dispatchers the male stated that there was a dead body with him at the location," said Brian Doan. "He stated that his 10-year-old daughter had drank some type of chemical and was deceased."
Local reports indicate that when officers arrived they found Moss standing outside the apartment complex who than directed officers attention to a trash can in the recreational area on the complex's grounds.
Police identified the girl as Emani Moss, but the cause of death has yet to be determined pending an autopsy.
This is not the first time either Eman or Tiffany have been arrested. In 2004, Eman Moss was arrested in Gwinnett for two counts of cruelty to children in the second degree and battery. In 2010, Tiffany Moss was arrested in the county for cruelty to children.
The Gwinnett County Police Criminal Investigations Division is conducting the investigation and it is not known if the couple has a court date or an attorney, the jail spokeswoman said.
