Emily Blunt Pregnant With First Child
Actress Emily Blunt is reportedly pregnant with her first child; she and husband John Krasinski tied the knot in 2010 and have said they would welcome children in the future.
"They both want kids. It's one of the reasons they got a bigger place, in a neighborhood that you can raise a family," a source told Us Weekly. "They both couldn't be more excited."
Blunt's representative confirmed the news to Us Weekly, setting off a flurry of excitement from friends and fans.
"Words can't describe how happy I am about Emily Blunt's pregnancy. I've been dying to write about this for years! Congrats @johnkrasinski!" tweeted Zach Johnson.
"All the best to Emily Blunt and John Krasinski. Such wonderful news!" added Vicky.
The two have several friends who are already parents and can provide support and guidance if necessary. Krasinski, former star of "The Office" spoke with Matt Lauer about working with Matt Damon, who has several children.
"We actually wrote with children climbing all over him, and he was doing bath time and dinner and everything, and we still got it done," Krasinski joked.
"We want to have children," Blunt told Manhattan magazine last year. "I just don't know when yet. I'm just not sure about the timing of all that. We're both from big families, so I think it's something we want."
The two are both successful in their fields and are almost constantly working on new projects. Blunt, who found great success in "The Devil Wears Prada," has since appeared in "The Five-Year Engagement" and will be featured in "Edge of Tomorrow" and "Into the Woods" next year.
After eight years on the very successful "Office," Krasinski appeared on the Netflix series "Arrested Development" and then provided a voice of one of the monsters in "Monsters University." He is scheduled to appear next year in "The Prophet" as the voice of Halim.
There's no word yet on when the little one is expected, but fans are already excited and eager for him or her to arrive.
