Emma Watson and 50 Shades of Grey Rumors Denied: 'Internet Rumors Do Not Make It True'

Emma Watson has spoken out about "50 Shades of Grey" that emerged last week claiming the young British actress was set for a starring role in the upcoming sexually charged film adaptation.

Last week when the rumors emerged connecting the Harry Potter actress to the "50 Shades of Grey" movie the Internet went crazy with discussions over whether Watson was the right person for the role. People agreed and disagreed in their equal measure. However, now Watson has come out herself to speak about her rumors connecting her to the role of Anastasia Steele in the film adaptation.

Emma Watson has said, "I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing," according to Entertainment Weekly.

The popular actress added, "There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo – I never even saw a script!"

She also said, "I told my family just because there are 60 articles on the Internet doesn't mean it's any less true than if there are three or four."

Watson was named the world's best dressed woman of 2011, according to Glamour Magazine. However, Watson expressed her surprise at the accolade, saying that she actually was quite boring.

She has said, "My problem is that I am a little bit boring. I don't wear designer bags or big sunglasses. When I don't have to play Emma Watson in public, I'd rather not put myself 'out there'."

"I have to be more careful with my look in my everyday life. I have [Harry Potter character] Hermione to thank, in a weird way, for my sense of style. Playing this role, fashion was my way of expressing myself away from that school uniform," she said. "When I got the chance to dress myself, I was so thrilled to be able to be Emma and show a different side of myself."

Watson will be in theaters this fall in "The Perks of Being a Wallflower." She also is busy with Sofia Coppola's "The Bling Ring" as well as working on Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" film.

She told EW: "The thing is I'm not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement."
