Emma Watson, William Knight Split Rumors: Pair Calls It Quits After Almost 2 Years of Dating

"Harry Potter" alum Emma Watson and tech tycoon William "Mack" Knight have reportedly broken up after dating for almost two years.

The news comes from Page Six citing a source close to the pair that they went their separate ways "amicably" early this year. Watson and Knight were last spotted as a couple back in late May while on a dinner date in New York.

It was back in October a couple of years ago, however, when they first sparked romance rumors after watching the hit Broadway production "Hamilton" together.

Four months into their relationship, The Sun reported that they went on a romantic getaway in Big Sur, California where they shared meals and basked in the beauty of the Pacific Ocean on infinity pools. The publication says that Watson loved how down to earth he is and how he has nothing to do with Hollywood.

Knight is a 37-year-old tech and business entrepreneur and is 10 years Watson's senior. He studied ecology and evolutionary biology in Princeton and then attended Columbia Business School in Manhattan.

Early in the relationship, Knight rarely posted about Watson on his social media, which is exactly how the "Beauty and the Beast" star would have liked it anyway.

Watson is extremely keen on keeping personal life away from the limelight, something that she opened up about in an interview with Vanity Fair back in March. She did not mention Knight by name though:

I want to be consistent: I can't talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home. You can't have it both ways. I've noticed, in Hollywood, who you're dating gets tied up into your film promotion and becomes part of the performance and the circus. I would hate anyone that I were with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act.
