Emmy Award Winners 2011: Charlie Sheen Surprise Presenter Meets Two and a Half Men Crew (PHOTO)

Charlie Sheen was a surprise presenter at Sunday's Emmy Awards, as he offered a heartfelt message wishing good luck to the cast and crew of the Two and a Half Men series from which he was famously sacked earlier this year.

Sheen presented the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. As he spoke about the award he referred to it as "my old category."

"I want to take a moment to get something off my chest and say a few words to everybody at Two and a Half Men," Sheen said. "From the bottom of my heart, I wish you nothing but the best for this upcoming season. We spent eight wonderful years together and I know you will continue to make great television."

The actor presented the award to Jim Parsons from the hit series The Big Bang Theory, also produced by his former TV boss Chuck Lorre, of whom he had a famous rant after he was fired six months ago.

It was previously reported that Lorre was against Sheen's appearance at the Emmys line-up.

Kutcher, who is replacing Sheen on Two and Half Men, took the stage with co-star Jon Cryer immediately after Charlie's segment.

Cryer and Kutcher made a dig at Sheen with Cryer starting off: "Hello, I'm that guy from Pretty in Pink."

Kutcher replied, "I am not Charlie Sheen."

He added "Jon, I want to tell you something. I do not think that you are a troll," referring to an insult by Sheen towards Cryer a few months ago.

Later, “Entourage” star Jeremy Piven posted a picture of Charlie Sheen and Ashton Kutcher in a meeting backstage at the event. Piven describes the photo, by writing, “Giving the new kid a little advice..! With @aplusk backstage at the Emmy's…”

The picture captures the awkward first meeting between Sheen and Kutcher.
