'Empire' Season 2 Midseason Finale Spoilers: Lucious May Be Toppled
The upcoming episode of "Empire" is expected to see Lucious Lyon possibly dethroned from Empire.
The midseason finale of the series will be putting Lucious in some danger after Mimi organizes a meeting to take away his power. A recent trailer for the upcoming episode titled "Et Tu, Brute?" showed Mimi trying to convince her fellow colleagues of Empire Entertainment to dismiss Lucious from the company.
This move was due to his selfish actions to obtain a new music streaming service called Swift Stream. He believes that once he gets the service, he will gain more power in the industry. However, his attempts to secure Swift Stream have caused a lot of expenses for the company. With that, Mimi decided that the best move for Empire Entertainment is to get rid of Lucious.
Because of this, fans have been speculating what would happen to Lucious if he loses the company. There are theories that he will be reuniting with Cookie in order to keep a hold of the company they worked so hard to build up. Fans are also hoping to get a look at Cookie and Lucious finally working together again toward the same goal.
The upcoming episode is jam-packed with stars including Rapper Da Brat playing the role of Jeezy, William Fichtner playing the role of James Henthrop, Charlamagne Tha God as himself, and Naomi Campbell as Camilla.
It was reported that Camilla's return will bring some tension in Hakeem's new relationship. Camilla was last seen in the previous season being ordered away by Lucious. However, she will not be Hakeem's only problem. It was revealed that Hakeem will have to deal with many challenges from his many past romances.
The midseason finale of "Empire" will air on Dec. 2. The rest of the season of the series will return by March 2016.
