Angelo Confronts Diana Over Betrayal in 'Empire'

Diana (Phylicia Rashad) has a lot of explaining to do when Angelo (Taye Diggs) interrogates her about Lucious' (Terrence Howard) revelation in the second half of the current season of "Empire."

During the midseason finale, Lucious came out and told Angelo he knew about his dark past. When he was a teenager, the politician was involved in a DUI accident. The car he was driving ended up in the lake. The girl he was with died. Diana tried to bury the truth because she knew it would jeopardize her son's chances of winning in the elections. She asked Lucious to kill the only person who holds the evidence against Angelo. In exchange, she promised she would separate her son and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson).

When Diana broke the deal, Lucious retaliated. He brought the reporter and revealed the truth in front of Cookie, who had no idea what he was talking about. Diana is expected to face Angelo's wrath for messing with things she should have left alone. He will want to know why his mother tried to send Cookie away, when she knows how much he likes the other woman. Diana will also want to get her revenge on Lucious, but she may have to fall in line, as there are others who want to kill him badly.

According to spoilers, Lucious' life is in terrible danger because of Andre (Trai Byers), who has teamed up with Shyne (Xzibit) to take down his own father.

Meanwhile, Lucious will still pursue Cookie, based on the new promo released by Fox. In the clip, he does not even care if his wife, Anika (Grace Gealey), sees them in bed together. Cookie and Lucious' relationship will remain volatile. While there are scenes that show the ex-couple kissing, there are also violent ones, just like when Cookie appears to be beating up Lucious with a baseball bat.

"Empire" season 3 will return on March 22, 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
