'Empire' Season Two Spoiler: Michael, Jamal's Paths To Cross Again

While the return of "Empire" season two is just around the corner, rumors as to what's in store for its loyal viewers continue to float, much more that the Fox drama has already released a poster to tease the show's next run. Despite the many unconfirmed rumors that throw those waiting for the show's next episode off their balance, one thing is for sure: Rafael de la Fuente's Michael character is returning.

According to Michael Ausiello of TV Line, Ilene Chaiken, the show's executive producer, had disclosed that de la Fuente's stint on the show is not done yet, hinting a rekindled romance between Jamal and Michael.

In the TV Line article, Chaiken reportedly said:

"So far Michael has been the great love of Jamal's life. And just because they hurt each other doesn't mean they're finished with each other."

International Business Times noted that the last time Michael was featured on the show was during its fifth episode. That particular episode featured Jamal, played by Jussie Smollett, catching Michael's infidelity as he was seen making out with an artist at the balcony of his apartment. With such act, it goes without saying that Jamal had earned every right to evict the two from his house. Since then, Michael hasn't been featured on the show.

However, life went on for Jamal. In fact, the show featured an interesting turn of events in his romantic life when he and Skye Summers, played by Alicia Keys, hooked up. Skye got the wrong signal, thinking that she and Jamal were soon getting into a serious relationship. Jamal, nonetheless, burst her bubble as he admitted to her that nothing had changed about his sexual preference.

Another piece of confirmed news about the show is Morocco Omari's joining the cast for an important recurring role as an FBI agent who will make Terrence Howard's Lucious Lyon character pay for his misdeeds. Omari will breathe life to the new character, Tariq Cousins, who was one of the best cops in Philadelphia until he became a part of the FBI and earned his way to the top of his department.

Cousins is described as someone who has unquestionable confidence and intelligence. While he keeps his plans under wraps, he does not hide his motives.

"Empire" season two returns March 30 on Fox.
