England vs Moldova Live Stream Free Soccer: Watch Online World Cup 2014 Qualifying Football
England vs Moldova takes place on Friday night in a World Cup 2014 Qualifying match that England will expect to win well. However, the pressure is on now as the teams enter the final straight in their qualifying campaigns, meaning anything can happen. The match kicks off at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
England have had some team troubles ahead of the game, with a number of favored players unable to play. That means Southampton's Rickie Lambert will start for England. The 31-year-old scored against Scotland with his first touch on his debut last month, and he will be given the nod tonight to support Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck.
England's midfield will also feature Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard and Jack Wilshere, and they will each have to step up tonight to ensure that England get the three points they need.
Goalkeeper Joe Hart and a back four of Kyle Walker, Ashley Cole, Phil Jagielka and Gary Cahill will also start for England.
Lambert, Welbeck and Jermain Defoe are the only strikers in Roy Hodgson's injury-ravaged squad, that has seen Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney, Phil Jones and Glen Johnson all withdraw earlier this week.
"We still have enough firepower with Lambert and Defoe to replace Sturridge and Rooney even though it would be wrong of me to say they are not players who will be missed," said Hodgson.
Manchester United striker Rooney suffered a head injury during training, and posted a photo on his social media page revealing a massive gash on his forehead which keeps him out of tonight's game.
England currently trail Montenegro by two points in Group H with a game in hand and are only one point ahead of Ukraine. With the group being so tight, England cannot afford any mistakes from here on in or they could see themselves finish second in the group and enter the playoffs rather than gain the automatic qualification spot that comes by topping their group.
