England vs Poland Live Stream Free Football: Watch Online World Cup 2014 Qualifying Soccer
England will take on Poland on Tuesday night in the climax to their World Cup 2014 Qualifying campaign in Group H.
If England win today at Wembley they are guaranteed a spot in Brazil next year. Anything less and they likely would be headed to a 2-legged Playoff match up against another European group runner-up. Everything's at stake in today's game.
The match will kick off at 3 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
England will want to avoid the Playoffs at all-costs, and will want to win Group H and the automatic qualifying spot for World Cup 2014. They currently sit atop of Group H with 19 points from their 9 games, but Ukraine are just one point behind with 18 points from their 9 games.
However, Ukraine play lowly San Marino in their final game, which is a sure-win in most people's eyes, meaning they will end on 21 points and that England will also need a win today to hold off their challenge. San Marino have so far lost nine from their nine games, and have a minus 45 goal difference. So expect Ukraine to win and win big today.
England meanwhile will know exactly what they must do, and following their impressive 4-1 win over Montenegro last week they enter this final game knowing their fate is in their own hands.
Ahead of today's game much of the talk has been around Andros Townsend. Just a game ago he was a relative unknown, but his stellar performance and goal against Montenegro means that much of the pre-match talk has been centered over whether he will be fit to start, having received a knock in last week's game.
England manager Roy Hodgson said, "We'll monitor [the knock] but we are very hopeful he will be fit to play."
Already England will miss Chelsea left-back Ashley Cole, 32, because of a rib injury that also kept him out of the Montenegro game. That means Everton's Leighton Baines will continue to cover for Cole, having already filled in there last Friday.
Hodgson has said ahead of the game: "We must make sure we complete it against Poland and I am sure we will. Even though they are out of the running and have nothing to play for, I can't imagine they will take their foot off the pedal."
Poland held England to a 1-1 draw when the teams last met a year ago in Warsaw, and England captain Steven Gerrard has confirmed that England will not be taking Poland lightly.
He said, "They'll be coming to Wembley, they'll want to beat England, they'll want to be the team that stops us going to a World Cup. We won't be thinking they're going to take their foot off the gas."
With the large Polish contingent residing in England, more than 18,000 Polish fans are expected to be in attendance at Wembley for today's game, which should make for an electrifying and tense atmosphere.
