Eric Dane, Billy Corgan Lawsuit Creates Legal Storm in Hollywood
"Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane has taken out a lawsuit against his neighbor and Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan this week over a fallen tree.
Dane claimed that a tree from Corgan's property fell onto his home during a storm last year, breaking the sprinkler system and causing flood damage as well as wire problems in the home.
The suit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, indicated that the home was "surrounded by live high voltage wires, and without the benefit of any light whatsoever," reported Yahoo News.

Moreover, Dane's wife, actress Rebecca Gayheart, was pregnant and alone at the time, so she was present for the flooding house with their first child, a 3-year-old.
The lawsuit names Corgan as being responsible for the unsafe environment for Dane's wife and child, although neither was harmed.
Dane and Gayheart added that they warned Corgan about the dangerous trees, but the vocalist maintained his innocence.
"I was horrified when I learned about the tree falling … Thankfully, no one was injured," he added, according to ABC News.
Meanwhile, Dane has not made comments on the pending lawsuit, which Corgan described as a "shame… because [Eric and Rebecca] are nice people."
This is not the first trouble between neighbors in Hollywood, as actor Dax Shepherd recently admitted on "The View" that living next to Justin Bieber felt "like living in Lebanon" because of the teen pop star's loud music.
Meanwhile, Dane seems to have recovered from different battle after he checked himself into a rehabilitation center last year. The 38-year-old lived in the sobriety facility for 30 days for "preventative measures" in association with pain medication, according to the Huffington Post.
The "Grey's Anatomy" star and his wife share daughters Billie and Georgia together.
Gayheart has also suffered harder times than her family's recent legal battle against Corgan. In 2001, she was charged with vehicular manslaughter for hitting and killing a 9-year-old boy with her car. She was sentenced to three year's probation, fined $2,800, assigned 740 hours of community service, and had her license revoked for a year, according to ABC News.
